In plain English: we collect the minimum we need to run the product, we don't sell your data, and we don't train models on your CV.
Job-CoPilot B.V. is a Dutch private company registered at Keizersgracht 227, 1016 DV Amsterdam, KVK 92345678. We are the data controller for personal information processed in our product.
Three buckets, and that's all.
Email, username, hashed password. If you sign in with Google, a Google user ID and verified email.
Whatever you give us — CV PDF, LinkedIn URL, pasted résumé text, saved job criteria, notes you attach to roles.
Pages viewed, buttons clicked, errors encountered. Aggregated by default; tied to your account only while debugging a support ticket you've opened.
We don't track you across other sites, we don't fingerprint your device, and we don't buy data about you.
To provide the product, debug it, and charge for it.
The reasoning is done by Google's Gemini API and, for some tasks, Anthropic's Claude API.
Your profile and CV content are sent to these models only when you trigger an action that needs them — a match score, a tailored CV, a cover letter.
No training. We've explicitly opted out of any prompt-retention or model-training options offered by our providers. Your data is not used to improve their models.
Under GDPR, you can access, correct, export, or delete any data we hold. Most of this is one button in Account → Privacy. For anything else, email privacy@job-copilot.ai and we'll respond within 30 days.
Active accounts: we keep your data as long as you use the product. Closed accounts: 30 days, then permanently deleted. Invoices: seven years, because Dutch tax law.
